About this piece
This artwork features two characters created using historical color tones and my own unique style of drawing human forms — the shapes of the arms, legs, feet, and bodies expressed in my personal way. One character is holding a book, drifting into another world of imagination and escape. The other character sits in reflection, questioning life, wondering who they are, what they have done, and whether they are truly happy. Through these two figures, the artwork shows two sides of the human experience: escaping into another world, and confronting the inner world within ourselves.
Motivation
My motivation was to develop and express my own signature style — to draw human forms in a way that is uniquely mine. I wanted to experiment with colors, techniques, and character design to create something original. This piece allowed me to explore how arms, legs, and body language can tell a story, and how two characters can share one canvas yet live in two different emotional worlds.
