No matter how far I seemed to travel mentally, I would circle back to the same point of reflection. The figure's hands became an important symbol within the composition. They represent an attempt to hold everything together while wrestling with complex ideas and emotions. The rocks incorporated into the artwork symbolize the weight of these thoughts, the burdens we carry, and the foundations upon which we try to build our understanding of ourselves and the world.
